Hill’s Sport Shop has a rich history of promoting cycling and outdoor activities in the area. From 1984 to 1992, Gene and his team organized the Hill’s Hundred, a road tour that attracted over 600 riders at its peak. The shop was also instrumental in getting the modern trails at Palo Duro Canyon made and open to cyclists, even promoting the first mountain bike races there between 1993 and 1998.
